Nozzle Heater Check Failed

I keep getting a failure on the nozzle heater check.  I have 2 tools and it seems to go through the first nozzle check and I get all green checks in the first column but all red checks in the second.  I never see it attempting to run the check for the second tool and it just bounces out to the calibration menu with a red X next to it.  Does this mean the first tool failed or second?  I've tried running it several times in a row with the same result.

It's running firmware 5.1.2 so I think I'll try updating it to the latest when I have a chance.  Any tips to correct this if I still get it after updating?

RE: Nozzle Heater Check Failed

I upgraded to the latest 6.0.0 firmware and now I get "Heatbreak thermistor is disconnected".  It doesn't say which one unfortunately.  I checked both tool heads and unplugged/replugged the cables but it didn't correct the problem.  Since the first one was reporting the temperature I'm going to assume it's the second tool.  Trying chat now...

Yep, bad thermistor.  I had a spare I ordered for my MK3.9 and I plugged it in to the second head (not actually installed).  It didn't complain about it not being connected and even started running the test for the second tool.  They're sending me a replacement.  Of all the things to fail I wouldn't have expected it to be a component in one of the preassembled parts.  Well, having spare parts available paid off!

I replaced the thermistor and the check passed.  The one I took out was crushed and deformed.  Whoever installed it tightened the screw WAY too much.
