Issue setting up new XL during dock calibration. Are my tool changing mechanisms backwards?

I'm at this step:

But here's what mine looks like - unlocked:

Locked:

It came like this out of the box.  Is the bottom locking mechanism backwards?

Best Answer by Pe3d:

Semi assembled? No? 🙂

Contact Prusa Support via chat.  You will need the serial number of your machine.  Have that image file ready.

Cheerio,

Oh, that shouldn't happen.

In your print, either the upper or lower lock element was installed twice. Normally, the top and bottom are separate components.

Here, one of the two was installed twice.

@bommerts

Can you please post a picture of the other side when no toolhead is docked?

This fixed it!  Thanks a million.  The bottom mechanism was backwards.

I just looked at my ‘control slip,’ which looks like a receipt.

Unfortunately, there is nothing on it to indicate that the toolhead was recorded and parked. I think Prusa would have noticed if this had been checked during the final inspection.

That's my opinion.

what was the end result for this issue?   I'm pending with prusa chat/support now with the exact same pictures/issue. I made it to the setup step and was trying to get the tool changer to mount and lock it in place.... and then I started scratching my head as to what is going on, why mine wasn't matching their pictures....
