Toolchanger with tool 2 strikes tool 1 on dock

Hello,

I have interrupted a print throught Connect after the printer started to heat the tool but before it started to print because I had figured out an error in my slicing settings.

After that, I have reloaded a new gcode with the slicing error corrected.

Both prints were configured to use tool #2.

After having reloaded the new gcode I launched the print and something weird happened: the toolchanger moved from front where is was and went back to the dock, so far that it stroke the dock and tool #1.

Actually it happened twice because I had to stop that print too, and so it happened after the second interruption and third upload.

RE:

Prusa XL with two heads; firmware 6.2.4.

Something very similar happens to me.

When a new print program is started after the previous one has been interrupted for some reason, the axis causes the rear of head number 1 to slam against the left rear motor. It does this with some violence.

It has never occurred to me to interrupt a print with head number two in use, but I can imagine that this uncontrolled movement could actually make head number two collide against head number one in a similar situation.

I could try to replicate this issue, but the sensation of the heads crashing with no apparent control is too disturbing to do so on purpose.

RE: Toolchanger with tool 2 strikes tool 1 on dock

I just observed this for the first time. After stopping a print, I wanted it to park tool #2. It went and tried to park it in tool #1's spot, already occupied by said toolhead. It crashed a few times, then went and did the homing routine in the normal location. After that, it correctly parked tool #2.

I am guessing this is probably unintended behavior and is almost certainly a firmware bug.

mine does the same.  its a really bad software glitch, must be in this version, prusa really need to solve this.  The entire machine software is really very bad and not polished.    Tool heads colliding, the homing just does not work sometimes and makes head collide too.    Its like the machine just forgets which head is on the tool.    Really bad problem. They must get this working smoother for the most expensive machine on the market its glitchy as anything still.    This is all softeware stuff too.    Come on Prusa have you laid off your programmers or something ?
