Clearview enclosure

I see Clearview Plastics updated their XL enclosure page at some point...  It is... big.  I think I could climb inside of it.

https://clearviewplastic.com/products/prusa-xl-3d-printer-acrylic-enclosure-kit?variant=44220698624238&currency=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gclid=Cj0KCQjwuNemBhCBARIsADp74QQcFNXYe_ZXxnaQO0GzNGMI_Eo15_RWq4soEkudpo2ruEyJfrWvWfgaAn9xEALw_wcB

Has anyone seen one yet that just form fits to the 3 sides with just a tall top to accommodate the toolheads?

Acrylic is expensive, especially that much acrylic ... replace some of the panels with plywood and the cost should come down.

RE: Clearview enclosure

That's not so bad, I asked a local acrylic supplier what the material will cost.

The answer was € 158 for the custom cut 5 sheets of 3mm.

Of course you then have to do some work yourself to make it into a usable box but you will have made enough money with that.

I doubt 3mm would be stiff enough; at least 5mm, maybe more.

RE:

That's true, i just wanted to show that the price of acrylic is not that bad.

For 8mm, the price comes to €456.

The price includes cutting out the doors in the front.
