Please Help me About resin print clean and IPA

Hello  I am Haluk and i am new at forum.if i opened topic to wrong place please warn me.

I have 3d resin printer and wash machine.how often should I change the ipa in wash machine ? i changed ipa after every clean. Some people don't change it until they use 1 liter of resin, is this true?  Is it okay if I don't change it until it becomes a completely black view? Is there any health hazard?

Also, is there a cleaner you can recommend as an ipa alternative? As far as I see in the videos, they use general cleaner, surface cleaner, wood cleaner and degreaser. Is it possible for me to use these? Is there any health hazard if I use it? I'm waiting for your help.

Best regards

RE: Please Help me About resin print clean and IPA

Haluk,

The best practice I’ve found is to have two IPA tanks, one for initial rinsing (dunking) right after printing, and then a second tank for thorough washing of the print part. This helps keep the second from becoming too dirty.

As an alternative, you could have a spray bottle with IPA and a tray to spray the resin off the part, then use a tank for proper rinsing. The bottom line is to get most of the uncured resin off your part before the final rinse in IPA, which will keep the IPA cleaner longer so you don’t have to go through too much IPA. There are some more complex set ups people have used that filter and rinse the IPA, which is the best method to prevent wasting IPA - however this is not cheap set up and costs a few hundred USD and requires assembly.
