Mixing resins? What ratio do you use?

I've seen several posts with people mentioning that they have mixed resins, both to get a different elasticity or colour.
What kind of ratio do you use between flexible and normal resin to get the result of a non brittle print? What is that ration dependent on: harness rating?
I have ordered a kg of flexible resin, but considering the price per kg of that stuff compared to normal resin, it would be nice to not use more of it than is absolutely necessary.

25-30% Flex and the print is way less brittle and still hard.

@lichtjaeger

Danke!

Is the 25-30% range based on experimenting?
May I ask what brands of normal and flexible resin you combine?
I have Prusa, Anycubic and Sunlu resins, and I'm not sure right now what brand the flexible resin is that I have ordered.

Yes, experience values.

I use Monocure Flex100 in combination with Prima Value Standard, Prusa Tough and Monocure Rapid resins.

Some reference:

PS: Monocure does also offer pigment sets to dye your resins.

🤔

If you use a usual flex resin instead of Flex100 you might need a 1:1 ratio or even more flex. One key factor is the shore hardness. Flex100 has 10.5D, flexible resins between 60D and 82D and standard resins 92-94D.

IMO 85-87D are good values for miniatures.

@lichtjaeger

Thank you!

That video certainly is a nice example of someone putting some effort in experimenting with mixing resin *and* sharing the results in a very useful and compact manner!
