PrusaSlicer Graphics Colors

Guys,

I'm getting my head around MM printing pretty well. At least multi-color. I like being able to paint the parts in their actual colors I intend to print with in the slicer, rather than the default colors the slicer initially gives you. But I find it tedious to have to reset these colors each time I start a new project, as I am making very similar parts with slight variations to the graphics, and, by-in-large, the first two colors, at least, are always the same. How do I set these two or three colors as "default" in PrusaSlicer, so that these mainstay colors are set when I start a new project?

Thanks. Brad.

Set them up then save them as a pro-forma project - then open the project and save-as <new name> each time you need it.

Cheerio,

Diem,

I saved the pictured project as you see in the pic. I then closed it out. When I reopen it, the colors are back to default. I've also tried setting them in the "filament settings" tab, as well as the extruders section of the "printer settings" tab. I'm obviously not "setting" them correctly. That's what I need instructions for.

Thanks. Brad.

Printer Settings > Extruder # > Preview > Extruder Color

After changing the up to 5 colors you have to save that Printer Settings Profile. Then for future instances make sure your Printer dropdown choice in Plater view is set to that saved Printer Settings profile.

You can also change those colors quickly by left-clicking on the right-side color in the filament dropdowns, but you still have to save the Printer Settings afterwards.

BaconFase,

Thanks. Brad.
