Mixing MMU2 and MMU3 components

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if you can mix parts from the MMU2 and MMU3? The reason I'm asking is that I had my MMU2S operating pretty reliably (after a few mods). I've since upgraded my MMU2S to the MMU3 and while I've had some success in multicolor/filaments I've had far more failures and issues. Issues that I didn't have before with the MMU2S.

Issues have been related to the idler, pulley body, and selector.

I've fixed the idler issues by using a modified idler. While I didn't have the rattling noise that this was supposed to fix, it fixed the issue were the bearing would move out of the way enough the filament would slip/disengage from the gear. https://www.printables.com/model/892876-rattle-freequiet-prusa-mmu3-idler

The pulley body issue is that many times when loading a filament for the first time the filament is misfed. I believe this is due to the openings on either side of the pulley assembly are wider and shallower than that of the MMU2S. Thus allowing filament that may have a curve to it to misalign and slip out of the pathway.

The selector issue basically seems like there is more space between the back of the selector and the pulley body. What this leads to is that sometimes the filament doesn't fully retract enough on a filament switch and sticks out in the space. So when the idler moves it bends the filament which results in either a bent tip  that then will not load on the next use of that filament or it drags the filament out and to the side causing a jammed selector.

So my thinking is replace the MMU3 pulley body, selector, and other necessary components with the MMU2S components I had. But before I go and reprint those MMU2S parts I wanted to know if they'd work with the MMU3 other parts (idler assembly, electronics cover, etc.
