How to make loading filament to MMU3 easier?
Hello,
I recently got my MMU3 for the MK4, and I really like it so far. My biggest issue is loading filament. If the filament is too curled, it veers off and slips out the side. Plus, jamming filament is frustrating. I always cut my filament tips to a point, but getting the filament to align properly with the hobbed gears and feed can be a hassle. Has anyone with an MMU found a way to make this process more foolproof?

In addition to sharpening (or rounding) the tips, the main trick is to make sure the first 4” (100mm) is straightened. There are a few “straighteners” on Printables.com but I just use my fingers.
Also, if you unload a spool from the MMU, don’t cut off the tips as they are likely still well formed and will load easier the next time you use it.
