Adding MMU3 to Core One+

My Core One+ will be delivered on Wednesday.  I took the MMU3 off of my MK4S to put on the the Core One+ and then I will add the CoreBoxx Premium from printables.com ( https://www.printables.com/model/1178997-prusa-core-one-coreboxx-premium).

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice for the upgrade?

Thanks...

RE:

If you had it working on a MK4S, then you know the main thing to watch out for is to avoid sharp bends in the tubing lines.  Excessive friction is the most common problem, but easy to resolve.  The C1+ installation adds longer tubing and a fairly sharp bend leading into the Nextruder, so it is even more crucial to eliminate friction elsewhere as much as possible.

Maybe next year we’ll see a viable alternative with the INDX, but for now that’s still vaporware.

RE: Adding MMU3 to Core One+

<bluntly> FWIW, My opinion only....

Avoid the CoreBoxx until you're sure the CoreOne is good...

Unless you've got a lot of room, and can keep the CoreBoxx sitting off to the side, it <significantly> impacts the serviceability of the CoreOne.    Once you've had a C1 for a while its (IMO) kind of obvious Prusa presumed that you could pop the top off for extruder servicing reasons.    The coreboxx cables (even w/ the community MMU cable) aren't really long enough to move it off to the side.   Maybe it could be wrangled around if you've a nice wide desk/table w/ lots of empty space on the side - I don't have it.

I've got a CoreBoxx sitting here.  I took it off, and am going to give my unoriginal dry-box, a side mounted buffer unit, and Prusa's enclosed MMU on top a whirl for a bit. -- that's how much I disliked it.   The coreboxx is a nice idea and all, but eh, no...

FWIW, YMMV....
