Adding MMU3 to Core One+
My Core One+ will be delivered on Wednesday. I took the MMU3 off of my MK4S to put on the the Core One+ and then I will add the CoreBoxx Premium from printables.com ( https://www.printables.com/model/1178997-prusa-core-one-coreboxx-premium).
Does anyone have any suggestions or advice for the upgrade?
Thanks...
RE:
If you had it working on a MK4S, then you know the main thing to watch out for is to avoid sharp bends in the tubing lines. Excessive friction is the most common problem, but easy to resolve. The C1+ installation adds longer tubing and a fairly sharp bend leading into the Nextruder, so it is even more crucial to eliminate friction elsewhere as much as possible.
Maybe next year we’ll see a viable alternative with the INDX, but for now that’s still vaporware.

RE: Adding MMU3 to Core One+
<bluntly> FWIW, My opinion only....
Avoid the CoreBoxx until you're sure the CoreOne is good...
Unless you've got a lot of room, and can keep the CoreBoxx sitting off to the side, it <significantly> impacts the serviceability of the CoreOne. Once you've had a C1 for a while its (IMO) kind of obvious Prusa presumed that you could pop the top off for extruder servicing reasons. The coreboxx cables (even w/ the community MMU cable) aren't really long enough to move it off to the side. Maybe it could be wrangled around if you've a nice wide desk/table w/ lots of empty space on the side - I don't have it.
I've got a CoreBoxx sitting here. I took it off, and am going to give my unoriginal dry-box, a side mounted buffer unit, and Prusa's enclosed MMU on top a whirl for a bit. -- that's how much I disliked it. The coreboxx is a nice idea and all, but eh, no...
FWIW, YMMV....

Do not buy a CoreBoxx
I am on section 4.12 of the assembly instructions and so far I have encountered not enough of the black counter sunk screws (called bolts in the instructions), the holes on the idler wheels are too big for the provided M3x8 bolts to hold the axles in place, rubber band that are poorly cut and irregular, holes that needed to be punched out, indents that needed to be opened, to mount the Mounting Stations, longer bolts are needed and nuts (which are not supplied) are required, Hard to follow and incomplete assembly instructions, misfitting parts, impossible to install bearings (without a special tool) and now I go to put the Mounting Stations and I find out that I have 2 lefts and a middle and no right. I am going to have to find the STL for the right and print it myself or wait who knows how long for BlueRolls to send me a new one. I have built and upgraded several Prusa printers. Building an entire MK4 or Core One is a way better experience than building the CoreBoxx. I ordered with the inserts installed and it came without them so I had to install them myself. Bluerolls asked me to provide them a video of the parts without inserts??? If the plastic is so bad, what is the electronics going to be like? I feel I deserve a partial refund from Blue Rolls. I'm hope that finding the STL won't be difficult. My whole CoreBoxx experience is that this kit is not ready for prime time. Especially when comparing to the excellent kits that Prusa puts out. To anyone thinking about buying or building the CoreBoxx should reconsider and wait until Prusa releases the INDX system with drybox. I cannot in good conscience recommend the CoreBoxx.
I looked for the STL file and I can only find it on printables for fee. Already paid several hundred dollars for the printed parts, I refuse to pay for the STL's to print a missing part.
