how to force one colour to print first

Hi there, I print a kind of knob. My experience is, if I print gray first the orange comes out in better quality. Would you have a suggestion how to force the printer to use gray first instead of orange? Prusa slicer should have an option there.

Help would be highly appreciated.

happy printing Stefan

I haven't figured that out completely yet. I can't always change the order of the objects but that could be the way some prints are designed.

A way around that that works for me is to change the names of the object .stl files. Numbering them will load them in the order I want.

And I load that filament that I want to start with as filament 1 in the MMU. Or atleast as the first that you use in that print. When you use filament 3, 4 and 5 load the one you want to start with as 3.

if you can imagine it - if you can design it - you should print it!

You can drag and drop objects into a different order in the pane on the right, they are usually started in order depending on the first instance of each material...

first filament - first use

thanks baklin - having the right order: first colour goes first, did work for me.

What would be 3D printing without community?? thanks a lot.
