No USB communication between computer and Prusa i3 mk3, Why not?
Upon attempting to flash the latest firmware to my Prusa i3 mk3 3D printer, it appears my computer no longer recognizes the USB connection. Consequently, it seems impossible to upgrade the firmware. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what is the problem, and how did you correct it?
Please help.

What software are you using to flash? Also, a power cycle is probably needed before connecting - I've seen the printer hang and not want to connect to Pronterface when I was flashing last. Had to reset the printer a couple of times. Also had to do the resets when I was trying to use Pronterface to measure bed uniformity. The Einsy USB interface is - well - flakey as implemented by Prusa.

Did you enabled pi zero on the printer?
I had done it one without noticing it because it is close to the live adjust z setting. Then i couldn't run the printer from octoprint. But i remember i can flash a firmware then your issue may be different. But worth it to check.

I am using Windows 7. I've downloaded mk3tomk3s and resides on my Desktop. Even though it connects to one of the USB ports, there is no evidence of a connection to the 3D printer.
If other USB devices connect to any of the computer's USB ports, they will appear under the "My Computer" icon and function correctly. In other words, they connect and work, Why shouldn't the i3 MK3 do likewise?

I've never been able to figure out how to get to support through chat or help. Where do they have this service buried, anyway, and how do you get to it?
I do not understand why these folks make everything so complicated. I've even had problems ordering stuff from these people. You'de think since customers are paying lots of money for their products, they would make doing business with them more straightforward.

It is on the bottom right-hand side of the eshop page. You have to login in to use it.
