MMU2S single mode select filament on printer
Hello,
is there a possibility in the software to preselect the filament in single mode?
I tried already with double click on part, select part and select extruder, but when printing (via octoprint) I always have to walk to the printer to select the filament number, very annoying
best regards,
Henk

If you are using Slic3r there is a "MMU2 Single" profile option you can add. That automatically selects tool 1 and prints from there.

What I do in those cases is configure the gcode as MMU and select the spool I want to use (doble click in the part) so the printer selects directly the filament I set in slic3r.

I select as Printer: Original Prusa i# MK3S MMU2S Single
is that the profile I have to select?

Yeap that's the one. If you slice with that profile it should automatically select tool 1 and print from there for you.
At least that's how it worked for me.

no, is not working for me, the printer is asking on the display for the filament number...
RE: MMU2S single mode select filament on printer
MMU2 single will add the gcode commands "Tx", "Tc" and last "M702 C". These are used to ask for which to load, use and unload. If you want to load a specific T0-T9 can be used.
But you could just slice as a multicolor using only 1 color. That will load perfectly fine only the first extruder.

now I use multicolor with 1 color and that is the way it works for me, thanks
