MMU2s isn't changing colors
I just tried sending a multi color print to my MK3s (MK3 upgraded)/MMU2s and its not switching colors. It goes through the motions. It goes to the purge block, wipes itself and I can see the filament gear pulling it out, but as soon as it normally speeds up to pull all the way out and change, it skips that part and immediately pushes the filament back in and treats it like its a successful change. I just flashed the latest firmware for the printer and mmu and the problem persists. I've tried different models that I've printed fine in the past too. Also used the stock profiles in PrusaSlicer instead of my saved ones I usually use.
You can see in that video where it starts to retract the filament out but as soon as it passes the IR sensor trip point, it puts it back in. The IR filament sensor is disabled.
Same problem here
I got the same problem.
The MMU loads every filament without any problems. I can choose the one I want in single mode, and it works.
I can test it with loading/unloading every single filament, and it works.
If I try to print in multicolor mode, the printer seems to do everything like he should, but he skips the actual change of the filament.
The Printer purges like he is changing the filament, but he does not.
As I am obviously not the only one with the problem... anybody solved it?

🙂 Sorry, but you are late. This bug was due to (if I am right in your case) to octoprint (latest release). As a proof put the idler on anything other than position 1 and print a model that does not have filament 1 in the print: The Prusa stalls and does funny things.
The solution: Go to Octorint and setup your printer: Change it to five extruders and activate shared. Problem solved?

Trank you very much!
That was the problem in my case.

- I will try this after work. Thanks. I did just update my octoprint too.

Thank you so much! I spent several hours troubleshooting this today, and even reset my Mk3S to factory defaults and re-configured everything, thinking I had a glitch somewhere!

Thanks! Had the same issue last time. Looks like it's a new safety feature in Octoprint. If you keep the configuration as one nozzle, the nozzle change commands are not being send to the printer.
