MMU Update

A few months ago our printer stopped working.  The MMU unit wouldn't move correctly when starting the printer.  We just stopped using it,  We are wanting to get it started again.  I updated the m3 unit and then needed to update the MMU unit.  The MMU update failed.  I tried and think I succeeded in erasing  the MMU EEPROM thinking that might help. The update still failed.

I have attached the error log.

We will really appreciate any help we can get on getting our printer up and running again.

Thank you.

RE: MMU Update

I recently had this issue as well. The only way that I could successfully flash what to reset the MMU right before I hit flash.. There is a really small window that seemed to work.

Also there was a "bug" that was present in Ubuntu that prevented flashing ... something with modem ... I will try to find the culprit when/if I have a chance today.

@david-a66

I will try that.  I have run parallels on my mac to have a windows environment for years with out a problem but since there last up date a few days ago I have had to bring up a back up once and think I will need to do it again today.  It has been sitting for about 40 minutes with out starting.  So it may take me a day or two to try using the windows flash option.

@willima-m26

When you say reset - do you mean the factory reset process?

Thanks for any suggestions and help.

We have had such a great time with our printer.  Want to get it going again.

RE: MMU Update

No sorry I should have clarified that. The button beside the usb port on the MMU.

RE: MMU Update

Yeah Thank you both for your help.  I used a windows version of slicr and the reset button and got the new firmware loaded.

I really appreciate your help.  Made my day.
