MMU keeps switch spools

Thought this was a simple finda calibration issue, but seems not the case.  Either running in multi material or single mode, the mmu keeps thinking it's out of filament and changes unless I turn spool join off.  It's pretty strange as while monitoring the finda and ir sensons, both are at 1.  A good size print will end up being 4 or 5 colors lol!  Not good when you've got pteg and pla, they don't stick so well together.  Any ideas?

RE: MMU keeps switch spools

Please provide more details. Like which version of MMU, printer and firmware you're running.

In general it's simple. One of the sensors is triggering. Usually it's FINDA but can be also the filament sensor. Can be also a broken cable, dirty connection ....  at the end state change is happening. You just need to find where it is.

@nikolai-r

latest firmware, MMU2s and a MK3s for hardware.  Wish there was log files lol!  Is there?  Seems like a good way to diagnose issue.

Two sensors, two cables and three connectors. Not really a big thing. I would start with FINDA and lower it as much as possible.

In a microcontroller world there are debug pins, serial ports and sniffer for diagnosis 😉
