MK2S + MMU2S separate power supplies

Hi All,
Would it be possible to run the MMU2S unit off a separate 24v power supply as this would reduce the driver whine produced when running the TMCs off 12v.
I was thinking a similar unit to the original power supply but in 24v with a common ground.

Update: I have installed a new 24V psu and it works wonderfully, although it didn't fix my driver issue I asked about on another thread (also fixed btw, by means of a reflow of the area around the TMC chip).

drivers are much quieter now!

that should be possible, as long as the grounds are common. however the higher voltage will only address the MMU2 motors / drivers, not the Mk2.5 motors/drivers

They are the only ones whining at the moment, so perfect.

How did you do the wiring? I'm trying to solve a power issue with the MMU2S with a spare powersupply I have lying around, but unsure how to set up the  wiring?

any help is appriciated! thanks!

Connect the Ground of the 12V supply to the ground of the 24V supply.

Connect everything as usual.

Thanks!! In my case I used a second 24 volt power supply, but this works like a charm! Reset of the unit still happens though 🙁
