M118 Command

Does MK3S support M118 command, I'm trying to use action commands for octoprint to send SMS when filament needs to be changed but can't get it to work. Very little info online about m118 command and support of it? Thanks!

You can search for prior requests and if they aren't thinking about it put in a feature request over at github.

@rickscncdesigns

Another possibility would be to read the remaining amount of filament from the Filament Manager or similar  plugin database and send a warning via SMTP.

@karl-herbert

I actually wanted to use it when I have a color change so I can swap the filament not so much when it runs out.

My understanding is that the Mk3 firmware is pushing the limits of available memory, so I wouldn't expect too many enhancements that don't impact fundamental printing issues. It can't hurt to put in a feature request over on the Prusa GitHub pages.

@bobstro

Thanks, I have made the request, sounds like it's time for a 32 bit processor on the MK3s.
