Choosing extruders on PrusaSlicer
Hello everyone. This might be a very silly question, but I've been struggling for hours and feel really stupid. When using Slic3r PE I was able to add an .stl object, then add more .stl's as "parts" so they would retain position and not be placed flat on the bed. Then I was able to easily assign a different extruder to each part, and slice away.
Today I'm finally switching to Prusa Slicer. I can add an object, then add more as parts. Everything is displayed correctly, but there is no way to assign the extruders. If I right click, ALL the object is immediately selected, instead of each individual part. So I can only assign one extruder (the same) to all parts.
If I add each part as a different object I can then assign different extruders, but each part is placed against the bed instead of lined up with all the others.
Please help, I'm feeling very frustrated.

To select extruder, highlight the part you want to change in the right hand window, in this case, part 5 (Bottom of lightning strike)
click on the extruder choice a couple of times,,, then you should be able to select the preferred extruder
if you have multiple copies of the same item, this will change them all, note I have left and right hand models on the same build plate, so I have to select extruder for all parts in one left hand model, and all parts in one right hand model, to complete the extruder selection

How to change color (extruder) on a simple unique part object? Just changing the color based on the layer?

Will that change the MMU to a different filament or just prompt the user to change filaments in the current selection? I thought the plus sign just added the M600 at that layer?

yes that will invoke M600 filament change
