Change filament at specific Z?

Is there any way to change the filament at a particular Z-Axis? I would like to print 0~4 from Filament 1, and then switch to filament 2. Possible?

There is a baked-in feature to do this as it turns out. No need to cut and overlay objects.

You right-click on the object int he light on the right and then choose the option "Height Range Modifier". Then, specify the mm range for this modifier. You can then specify the extruder override. Works pretty easily.

To get the right height range you first slice your object and then single step through the layer viewer to find the layer heights for the start and stop of each modifier.

So it can be done, although it's a it obscure.

Some missing info here, but from forum title, I suspect you have a MMU. I do not. If you do,have a look at this:

One users workaround

I hope I got the link right 🙂

Quality is the Journey, not the Destination. My limited prints->
