swapping back to original hot end after MM upgrade??

My Prussa i3 mk2 multimaterial upgrade hotend is failing, can i put back the hot end from the the original i3 mk2 before my upgrade?
Is it the same or will there be issues over it power output?

Thanks

I switched to my old MK2 extruder (my MMU 1 hotend had a...rough go...haha) when I upgraded the MMU, it's been working fine thus far. Chat told me it was ok to.

Slic3r might have a problem with that...
and there is no way to alow the MMUv1 extruders to free run... so they would be perpetually fighting with the mk3 extruder!

and imagine the real estate required for 20 rolls of filament, never mind 10 pairs of MMUv1 extruder motors and masses of PTFE Spaghetti

I did the same when I built my MMU V2, switched back to the MK2 hotend. It worked fine for the most part, but I was having filament tip issues (to big) and I was told by chat and the discord group to switch back to the MMU V1 hotend because it has the correct heatbreak.

You could buy a MK3 heatbreak and install that to your MK2 hotend, easy fix.
