MMU jam on unload, just above bondtech gear @ extruder
Hi there,
Several times, my printer has jammed with a crooked filament retracting out of the extruder. It hangs up just above the bondtech gear, on the chimney because of a small kink in the filament tip (see photo). The end of the filament at the bottom of the photo is the bit that is jamming.
Why, oh why is this happening? I've also had the sad luck of this occurring in the hotend PFTE tube (within the heat break) requiring tube replacement.
Thanks for any ideas!
Kevin

I have the same problem, especially with PLA 😥

I solved this problem. I noticed that the filament sensor reports "0" after printing for a while. But the insertion of the filament went well (filament sensor "1"). The problem is in the bent tower of the sensor (thermal stress in the box). I printed the tower from ASA and set it up according to the procedure here: Now everything OK
