Filament sensor [off] by default?

In the setting menu, the filament sensor is off by default?

1. Is it normal? Every time I set it to [on], it switches back to [off] after rebooting the machine (firmware 3.7.0 / 1.0.5)

2. Which sensor does it refer to? FINDA? IR sensor?

3. Do I need to turn it on to enable filament out checking ?

Fairly certain that the sensor is referring to the IR sensor.

Essentially, enabling the sensor only changes what features are enabled. The MMU2S load sequence will use the IR sensor regardless of whether it is enabled or not, but enabling it will allow for features like SpoolJoin, Filament runout, etc.

I personally find my prints slightly more successful with it enabled, and the filament seems to load properly on the first try (as opposed to loading, then unloading and loading again when it feels like doing so). It might be something else I did that is causing the success (so far), but it sure isn't hurting anything.
