Cannot use MMU2S After Upgrade to MK3S

I recently completed the upgrade to MK3S and MMU2S, and so far it seems like everything is hooked up correctly as the board still functions. I upgraded the firmware to the latest for MK3S and had issues upgrading the MMU2. The firmware is already on 1.0.5, but I thought I might need to use the one with the MK3S.

Either way, now when I try and load filament for the calibration the unit will rotate the Idler Body and then the MMU2 goes to all flashing Red LEDs and I can't do anything else. Pressing and holding the right button will turn out the LEDs, but it doesn't reset or do anything (once you release the button it continues flashing all Red). I have confirmed that there is no filament in the unit and the Selector can slide back and forth. I am not sure what is wrong, or what I can do to some the issue. At this point, I can't even use the printer.

maybe try pulling the finda out? I don't have my "s" yet but it sure sounds like that. OR you have a motor plugged in the wrong spot. if you need your printer you might be able to run it single. just try taking the ptfe tube off the extruder and try it old school. 50% chance of working. I have been known to leave a small chunk of filament in the finda when I wan to just run single

I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

All of the filament has been pulled out (I had one break inside before that generated a similar error response, so I though that as well) and the electronics were not changed on the MMU2 board when I did the upgrade. Everything on the MMU2 worked before I did the MK3S upgrade (it was running as MK3 MMU2 before then).

Just a guess but make sure you don't have your IR and signal cables swapped here on step 24. And make sure the cables are centered in the port.

I double checked the connections and they are like the image in the Manual. I also have the insert that was printed. The printer also does this when using the manual controls up top.

Well, I resolved the issue. And you know what, it was something stupid.

It appears that my F.I.N.D.A. sensor might have turned a little as it was close enough to the ball to cause it to always be trigger (so it thought filament was in the unit). While I had the unit on and with all 5 flashing red light, I loosen the screw for the F.I.N.D.A. sensor and tried to pull it out (which it didn't want to move since it was kind of threaded in the plastic). I noticed when I did this, I would get 5 flashing green while trying to pull it out. When I let go, it went back to flashing red. So I turned it a little to the right (unscrew) and it eventually gave me 5 flashing green without touching it. I locked the F.I.N.D.A. sensor down with the screw and press the right button which cleared the error, the MMU2S homed, then moved to filament 2. I was able to move it back to filament 1 at this point.

So I guess my F.I.N.D.A. sensor might be a little too low. I will raise it a little and play with it to make sure it still picks up the filament passing in the unit, but isn't close enough to cause the same issue if it gets bumped or works it way down from use. Given the 5 flashing red (slow for loading and fast for unloading according to the manual I believe) can indicate "filament is stuck" (which happened to me earlier before the upgrade, a piece of filament broke in the unit tripping the F.I.N.D.A. sensor), a feel a little stupid for not checking the F.I.N.D.A. sensor (I did check for broken filament in the unit and found it was clear, but the F.I.N.D.A. sensor shouldn't have moved to start with).

Anyways, hope this helps someone who might have a similar issue (this seems to be unrelated to going to the MK3S and MMU2S, just the F.I.N.D.A. sensor being bumped on the MMU2 or MMU2S).
