0.8 nozzle and filament selection MMU2S

Hi everyone, I've been using the 0.8 nozzle profile lately, love it. Problem is I can only slice in single mode.

Now, I'm not trying to print MMU in .8 nozzle size, I just want to choose which filament to print with IN THE SLICER. I often remote start prints, using octoprint, and with 0.6 and below size profiles, I can pick filament 3 or 5 in the slicer and the printer will happily do all that for me.

With the 0.8 profile, I upload and print, and have to go all the way to the printer and select which filament to use, every time.

Is there something I can modify in the code, or preferably the slicer, to just say "use this slot" and not have to confirm on the machine?

Thanks!

If anyone comes accross this in the future, I experimented, and this is possible.  Just go into the advanced mode, printer settings tab, and check multiple extruders, set it to 5.  Check single extruder multi material.  Then jump to custom gcode, and copy the 0.6 nozzle mmu profile start gcode and paste it over the 0.8 start gcode.  Under single extruder mm setup, check high extruder current on filament swap, this fights the filament more and allows a clean swap.  You can now have it auto select the filament you choose in the slicer, and can do an unattended M600 extruder swap.  I have not tested a real MMU multi tool change back and forth, but it looks promising.

Hi, I'm just wondering whether to switch to a 0.8 nozzle and I encountered the same problem. Let me know how changing filaments works 🙂

By the way, it's strange that Prusa didn't make a multimaterial profile for the 0.8 nozzle...
