Problem loading filament first time

Hiya,

Just assembled the MMU 2.0 and trying to get the filament to load the first time. Every time I try loading, the filament curls up and doesn't exit past then Bontech into the hole leading to the F.I.N.D.A.

The end of the filament cut to a 45deg point, and I've tried to straighten the filament as much as possible before loading it.

Cheers,
Simon.

Continued..... Tried the second filament path and that loaded fine. Just seems to be the first path at the moment...

Check the gear for T1 is in the right spot to bite and guide the filament correctly, if it is off alignment even by 0.5mm it can cause feeding to fail.

OK...for the record, the problem was I hadn't properly assembled the MMU2. I missed Step 12 in 3. Electronics and MMU2 unit assembly so the spool PTFE tubes were not secured properly. Seems to being working now....

Re: Problem loading filament first time

I'm having this exact same problem... I've spent hours trying to figure out why. I've tried different filament, used different spool holders, tried to straighten filament, re-seated the PTFE tubes, moved the hobbed gears... I'm gonna probably just disassemble the entire loading part and retry it. If that doesn't work I don't have any idea what I'll do.
