MMU2S to MMU3 Upgrade Assembly

Hi everyone!  First Post.

I purchased the MMU2 a while back and never assembled it.  I recently purchased the upgrade to MMU3.

I need advice on assembly.  All instructions assume (correctly) that you have previously built the MMU2 and give instructions on tearing down the mmu2 and doing the upgrade. However I currently I have my MK3S+ assembled and running  a few months, the box of MMU2 Stuff and the box for the MMU3 Upgrade.

I am trying to avoid doing the complete mmu2 install just to break it down halfway to do the MMU3 upgrade. But without clear instructions I feel I will miss something.

Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks!!

Print the mmu3 parts and revised filament sensor. And just. Build it. The cassette buffer is different for mmu3. Good luck

Thanks Joan,  I was hoping that was an option but one last question.

Do you know, is there anything done during the MMU2 install that is not addressed with the MMU3 install? (because its assumed you already did it with the mmu2)

I hope that makes sense, thanks again!

Assuming we are talking Mk3S and S+ series printer, MMU2 used the old style Filament sensor tower, and the MMU2 power and data connectors went direct to the MMU controller whilst
MMU3 uses a new filament sensor chimney with horizontal adjustment screw, and longer arm on the extruder idler, and there is a new combined power and data cable which connects to a power disribution board, which then connects to the MMU controller board.

I think that's about it!
