MMU2s recently installed, now extruder won't auto bed level

I recently installed the MMU2s to my MK3s.

This includes flashing both the MMU2s (prusa3d_fw_MMU2board_1_0_6.hex) and the MK3s(prusa3d_fw_MK3S_3_8_1_2869.hex)  with the Firmware in "prusa3d_fw_3_8_1_MK3S_1_0_6_MMU2s.zip". After flashing the firmwares i have ran into an issue with bed leveling.

I attempt to get through the calibration wizard, and when the printer gets to the calibration of the Z axis, it starts well but doesn't finish. The very first point, front left of the printer bed is fine and the PINDA seems to pick it up, however it will move to the 2nd point (center front) and then plunges the extruder nozzle straight into the bed and noticeably depresses the heat bed a lot.

It gives me what sounds like a generic error message when it does crash into the heat bed. it says " Bed leveling failed. Sensor didn't trigger. Debris on nozzle? Waiting for reset". after seeing this kill the wizard by clicking the 'X' button on the front panel, and I can see the heat bed push the extruder up returning to its normal position.

I have used a nylon and brass brush to make sure the nozzle is clean and wiped the PINDA with a dry cloth to make sure there were no chunks of filament causing an issue, which has not happened.

I repeated the wizard thinking that it wouldn't do it multiple times in a row.... i was wrong.

The printer will not make it past the 2nd mesh spot, i decided to reach out here after trying the wizard 3 or 4 times.

The PINDA appears to be getting power, since i can see the red light within it. It also appears to be talking back to the main board since it makes it past the very first circle on the heat bed.

It feels like a firmware thing but it could also be something else i havent seen yet.

I'm fairly new to the Prusa Community, and have had at least a year of experience working with 3d printers, Frimware, and GCODE manipulation to have some understand as to whats happening. This however is escaping me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated since i would love to just have the MK3s print again. -_-

i will be adding a video here when i get back home and have more time to tinker with it.

Thanks guys!

Do you have the removable steel sheet installed? This can happen if you run Z calibration without it present, because the routine is expecting to detect the steel surface.

That's strange. On my Prusa it says to remove it?

There are different calibration procedures. The sheet should always be on unless you're told to remove it.

If I remember correctly, the setup wizard and Calibrate XYZ expect (and prompt for) the sheet off, and Calibrate Z and First layer adjust want the sheet on.

Haven't got an idea, then; sorry. In my case, I did the combined MK3S upgrade so I was rebuilding the extruder anyway, and the recalibration proceeded without trouble.
