Loading Filament

I'm having lots of problems just trying to get my filament loaded. I completed the assembly, making sure bowden gears are aligned with PTFE tubes with filament. But when I try to load and calibrate filament, the filament doesn't go through straight and into MMU unit, or when it does, it doesn't grab the filament and pull it in.

I've been using the "Secret Service Menu" to try to calibrate the PFTE tube length, but can't complete it because it won't load the filament.

Any tips would be appreciated!

Re: Loading Filament

If the idler housing is screwed down too tight (two screws with springs), the mechanism will jam. As per the instructions, make sure the head of those screws are just are flush with or slightly lower than the surface of the plastic housing. Step 34 https://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/2.+Pulley+body+assembly/755?lang=en#s12429

With the printer powered off, you should be able to rotate the idler barrel around and feed the filament through by hand with the bearing out of the way.
