Slicer adding gaps to my seams

I thought it was a mechanical error at first but look to be something with Slicer. Default setting ..6 nozzle does it at any layer height.

That looks like the layer seam on a cylindrical surface. Try changing the Z seam location and it will move around, but you can't get rid of it as it's how current consumer-grade FFM printing works.

I printed the same model before with out this problem. That seem creates a pretty big and visible hole in the physical model. I been printing for 2 years never seen this before.

Re: Slicer adding gaps to my seams

Do you have "wipe while retracting" enabled? That and "retract amount before wipe" should be checked. The other thing that comes to mind would be the "extra length on restart" setting. The 0.6 nozzle reduces the pressure in the hot end and allows filament to flow more easily. A single extruder step translates to a shorter (linear) piece of extruded filament, though it will be the same volume. So if wiping is enabled, to prevent zits, the distance needed is less and if left the same, you may see gaps. Related, because the larger diameter, it is easier for the filament to move through the tip. If there is any oozing during travel, after retraction, its possible that you need add a little to the distance to the unretract to make up for the lost filament.

The linear distance at 0.4 is 2.25x the linear distance at 0.6, for an given extruder motor movement. Of course, I'm kind of assuming that you recently switched to a 0.6 nozzle in all this.

Thank you! I will check all these setting. I switched to a .6 2 moths ago or so.
