Pancake motor for the extruder? Experiences?

Has anyone used this little motor ( https://e3d-online.com/slimline-motor) for the extruder? Any similar? Maybe it doesn't have enough power?

Sorry for my poor English. I try to do my best.

Hi yes been using this type of motor on my ender3, the motor was a clone and is running a Titan extruder

it runs well, more than enough power for the extruder.

the only thing is it runs hotter, max temp of 58c. when i was doing covid 19 masks it ran 14 hours a day for 6 weeks.

i still  find it amazing that it did that without blowing up!

so i am sure it would work well on the Mks3s

I am using a pancake stepper but it is coupled with a geared extruder (Skelestruder) for the torque advantage. No issues.

Bondtech with 1.8degree pancake stepper runs fine. No temperature problems (about 40-45 degrees in an enclosure) while printing ABS or PA12.

Yes,

I installed one and it works well.  No temp problems.  No differences in quality.  It is on my Prusa knock off made from excess parts.

I order ti from Amazon: Pancake motor from e3D.

Thanks to all.

Now I see that the slim E3d motor is 0.9º. The Prusa is 1.8º. That's not a problem?

If you are using a geared extruder, you may have issues, if you do decide to use a geared drive, then take a look at the first two motors here:

Normal people believe that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough features yet.

I've ordered directly from stepper online on a few occasions now and found them to be quick and reliable, but currently it looks like the only stock is in the Russian federation!.

This corona virus pandemic is affecting supplies of a lot of things.
