Max Z because of enclosure - Where to enter restraints?

Hello,

I have my printer in a Tukkari case, but it is on a slab so is a littler higher than it should be.  As a result, the extruder juuuuuust touches the top when it goes to max height (Its just 1-2 mm too high and actually warps the case up slightly if it goes to max Z).

I would like to limit the max (Even for z Calibration).

Can you advise me the minimum number of places I can enter this constraint so it is effective for Prusa slicer, Octoprint, Hardware?

Thanks.

I think you have to alter the firmware.  I would recommend pitting the vase on spacers to boost the internal height if that is possible.

You could set a lower Max Z by modifying the firmware, but I don't think the calibration will run right if the X carriage doesn't go all the way to the top of the frame.  Maybe if you added spacers/stops of some sort to physically reduce the travel by the same amount as you do in firmware.

That looks like a nice enclosure. It also looks like it sits on the tabletop with no base.

That being the case, I agree with Chuck that finding or making some sort of spacers to raise the enclosure up to the needed height is likely the simplest solution.

Cheers
