Magnet on Motor?
Hi all,
I'd like to use a couple small (8x3mm) magnets to stick a logo to one of the motors in my MK3s. I know people add extruder motor spinners all the time, I just want to double check that sticking magnets to the side of the motor won't cause issues with the stepper.

I would be hesitant to apply a magnet to that area of the stepper. It is the outer portion of the stator. The stator has a complex magnetization that is needed to generate the motor's torque. You may not get an immediate outright failure, but over time may suffer reduced torque if your external magnet interferes with the motor's magnetization. You cannot (home) regenerate the magnetization once diminished.
