Just ordered the Revo 6 hotend
Hi, as the title says, I've just ordered the revo 6 kit and the nozzels from technology outlet, which was cheaper that off revo ????
Anyhow, for those that have the kit already is there anything i need to be aware of or settings that need adjusting?
RE: Just ordered the Revo 6 hotend
Installed it 2 weeks ago, changed nothing on the printer, followed the directions, reset the z and off it went.
The only thing I have found is when I change from .4 to .6 I have to raise the z about .04 to get it to print well. I have went back and forth between the .4 and .6 so many times that I change the nozzle, adjust the z and walk away.
The best thing I ever did for printing, I just ordered a mini and already ordered the Revo mini, I will replace the hot end before I even plug the new printer in to use it.
hope that helps

If you have an MMU, you might run into some issues with tips being stringy. Otherwise, it is pretty much something that you can just install, re calibrate first layer, then be done with it.
You'll have to cut a PTFE tube, so have a super sharp knife at the ready. I used a razor. There are some prints you can find that will hold the PTFE tube while you cut it so that it doesn't deform. I didn't have any trouble though since the razor was so sharp.
This fan seems to be a pretty popular mod. It moves the fan out of the way and makes it a bit easier to switch out nozzles, assuming you bought the kit that comes with all four nozzle sizes.

On the PTFE - I used a 1/2 inch drill bit or a 12mm would work to countersink the tube. Twisted it by hand until I got the countersink to the right angle and depth.
Any type of bit would work if it was wider then the tube itself.

I think this will be my first change to my printer.
Has the early teething pains been sorted?

If you don't have an MMU, I wouldn't expect you to have problems.

Just be aware us folks with the Micro version on the Mini have had problems with PLA. Heat creep insufficient cooling , etc.
someone in one of hte posts made reference to having trouble on the MK3 as well. I've held off on my mk3 and I feel like I want to return my Revo Micro for my Mini , haven't been able to resolve my issues yet.
