Filament stops extruding from a 0.25 mm nozzle after a while

This may be a duplicate of some sort but I really want to make my finding verbose.

Problem:
After some print time the filament stops extruding properly from a 0.25mm diameter nozzle. It is clearly to hear that the extruder motor is missing steps. This happens with multiple types of filament including Prusa PLA.

What goes wrong:
Due to the way the filament is stored its curved when unwrapped for usage (pulled into the nozzle). This curvature is enough to cause the filament to press against the side of the nozzle instead of leaving it centred.

Solution:
I managed to solve this issue by using a bowden tube of about 1 meter. This reduces the curvature of the filament. Be sure that the tube connects straight to your printer and not at an angle.

I hope this works for you. I just wanted to let you know that I have used a 0.25 mm nozzle quite a bit with no issues. Several filament brands. All PLA. Never had an issue with that nozzle.
