Error when connecting Rpi3+

When I connect to my printer with the rpi3+ thru the USB I get this:

Error- static memory has been overwritten.

I tried turning the rpi port on but then it will not connect at all. Or it says it does but gives me no control and never detects the baud rate. Any idea what is causing this?

Edit: if I reset the printer then it seems to connect.

Re: Error when connecting Rpi3+

If you are using a RPI via USB turn the "rpi port" to off. The "rpi port" is for when you are connecting a RPI (pi zero) to the board via the header pins.

Re: Error when connecting Rpi3+

I only get the error message with the rpi port turned off.

When I get the message I can clear it by pressing the reset button. The printer resets and cconnects without the error.

Re: Error when connecting Rpi3+

Mine never once has worked with the auto baudrate detection, i have to manually select the baud rate(115200 i think) and then it works fine.
