Buildtak foil for Prusa with PC

I recently bought some PCmax (Polycarbonate) with a BuildTak surface included and now I have some questions about it:

So, PC prints okay on the PEI sheet, but one of the prints warped a bit, so I consider now to print my PC on the BuildTak.

The first question is: does it harm the PEI sheet when I glue it on this?

The sheet is a bit smaller (200*200) mm² than the PEI sheet, but has a certain thickness (0.3mm) so what about the PINDA and the meshbed levelling?

When I glue it on the PEI sheet and set the live-adjust just .3mm higher I would be fine? But what about when I want to use the other side for something else? Than the sheet has some more or less steep overhangs from the smaler sheet on the back?

Would it be possible to glue it on a normal painted steel plate and use it that way as a additional print bed?

The same question here: when the steel plate is a bit smaller and the PINDA won’t find something is there some correction necessary? This could be solved by using a normal steel plate with the right dimensions? For me, this sounds like the best solution?

What also come to my mind is: With Kapton tape it is possible to print ABS (ASA HIPS too?). So could it be possible use Kapton covered steel plates for ABS printing?

Not sure about anything on BuildTak. I've trashed 2 sheets just trying PETG on it. I've got a few of those free Overture mats I can try.

Rather than glue BT on top of (expensive) PEI, I'd order a bare steel sheet from PrintedSolid for about $20.

@bobstro

Lol, I also went to a collegue who cuted me some bare but thick tinsteelplates (1.5mm) and I make now some epxirements with them. So far pretty well.

My main two printing plastics are PETG and Polycarbonate. You may benefit from this older thread if you intend to print PC routinely.
