Vase Mode not woking

I was redoing a print that I had done previously (in Vase model), resliced it with the latest slic3r (1.38.5) set to SPIRAL VASE mode, but ended up with 2 perimeters where I expected 1 and no continuously increasing Z dimension (so there is a seam). Perhaps I have missed something, but I would have sworn that this is what is should do (as described on the Slic3r web page):

1) you can also benefit from the Spiral Vase setting which will raise Z continuously avoiding a layer-change point which would cause a visible seam. This setting works with any number of bottom solid layers.

Anyone else seeing this behavior and is there a fix?

Thanks,
Steve

Check the comments at the bottom of the .gcode file. They show the current settings. It sounds like you might have clicked NO when it asked you if you wanted to change settings after clicking on the Sprial Vase Mode radial button.

Thanks for the tip on the comments, they all read proper, I did an uninstall and the reinstall on the SW, and when I set it up to SPIRAL VASE, the layer view still shows 2 perimeters for the spiral vase portion and 1 for the base. I'll have to see if it prints in the same fashion later today.

On a plus side, I downloaded CURA and discovered that it has a mode called FUZZY SURFACE, and when used in combination with VASE mode is generating a really pleasing effect on the diffusion of light through the lamp shades that I was looking to print with SLIC3R.
