Resume not Working v3.0.11?

Was trying to print the tree frog from SD. Had about the first 5% done and I noticed one of the feet was not fully stuck to heat bed. I paused the print to see if I could fix it up. Then resumed the print. It was paused for less than two minutes.

Hit resume. The heat bed warmed back up, but the hot end just continued to cool off. Waited and it cooled to ambient and kept waiting. LCD was showing waiting warming up message.

It never resumed so I had to kill the print and start fresh.

When I selected resume, shouldn't it have warmed up both the bed and the hot end and then continued with the print?

It works every time for me. I think when I pause the print, only the nozzle stops heating. Bed stays and the print temperature (It is logical, because your print could warp during the pause as the bed goes down with temperature). Try to flash the firmware once agan.

I had the same problem today. I was running low on filament so I paused the print, unloaded the filament, loaded a new spool of filament and resumed print. The display indicated that it was trying to heat up but the extruder temperature goal was set to 0 and it cooled down all the way to room temp. Then it stayed there, "Heating....".

This appears to be a software but.

Got the same problem today. The solution is that after you have selected the RESUME and the nozzle temperature get set to zero instead of your normal printing temp you go to TUNE and select the NOZZLE. Then change the 0 from the nozzle temp to 215 (or whatever you need). After this the nozzle will heat up and print will continue normally.

If you try to change the nozzle temp from the settings during the pause it will be overrided to zero when you select the RESUME. So you need to select resume first and then enter the correct nozzle temp.

Sounds like a bug to me. I am using August 2017 build MK2 with 3.0.12 firmware

Cheers,
Tapio

Confirmed. I'm having the same issue. Thanks for the quick fix @tapio! It did print some filament in thin air first, but then continued the print. Hope it's gonna turn out fine, already printed for 9 hours 🙁

This is still a bug in 3.1.10. 🙄

Re: Resume not Working v3.0.11?

Same issue on my printer too. Thanks for posting a workaround using the Tune menu item. I hope this gets resolved soon in the next firmware release.

Has anyone else had the following issue? The Z offset got screwed up when the printer was paused, resumed, paused and then resumed again because it never reached the 0 deg target temp. On the final resume, I set the Target temp but the retraction distance doubled after hitting pause the second time and then on the final resume only moved back 1 multiple of the retraction distance. This resulted in the extruder printing in midair 1 retraction distance off the part. I had to scrap the thing and start over. There is a logic error in the code here.
