Possible Bug: Odd Issue With Detect Thin Wall Option in Slic3r

So, I made another post about this in the MK2 section, but further testing revealed that this may be a bug in Slic3r. I wanted to see if anybody over here has experienced anything similar. Whenever I have the detect thin wall option enabled, I end up with some of the first layers being off. See the pictures below.

This issue is virtually identical in all prints with this option enabled, even if there are no thin walls. I really do find it rather odd. It is the most prominent in square shapes, but its also present in circular shapes too. I have, however, been able to print the benchy boat with this option, with no problems whatsoever. It seems to only be an issue with simple shapes.

If anybody has any ideas, please let me know. It would be nice to work out what exactly is going on here.

I don't think that is the issue. Slic3r's preview does not show the defect, unlike the one you showed me. Take a look below. I looked at the layer view as well. Do you think I should post this on the Github page?

Yes, please post an issue to github. The github issue tracker is generally a better place for me to keep track of the bugs. Please post your config.ini file (go to file->export config), the stl and the generated G-code. Thank you.
