Models that Slic3r PE won't import correctly
Hi all
I absolutely love Slic3r and have worked a lot with it, but I have found a model that wont import correctly, even tho it will import with no problems in other slicers like Simplify3d, Cura or Ideamaker. I think it should be useful if we list these models here so the developers (if any is around) can take a look at them and can debug and improve our beloved Slic3r.
I suggest three conditions for a model to be posted here:
- Must be public, like from Thingiverse or other repository, even better if it is listed as having been "made" there
- You must have imported it into other slicer correctly
- Must post a screenshot of how incorrect it is imported, as a quick preview for any developer that takes a peek

For instance, I wanted to print this model (Mars globe with details exagerated), but Slic3r won't handle it. I've imported correctly in Simplify3D and IdeaMaker

Unfortunately, that model has many errors and even NetFabb could not fix them all.
There are other programs which you can use to try to repair the model, but until it is repaired, it is very unlikely that you will get a decent print - even from the slicers which do not report the errors.
