Mattercontrol

I have been using Mattercontrol by Matterhackers for the Prusa i3 Mk2. It has been laying some nice first layers and some good prints. It has a profile for the prusa, and i only tweaked a few things, such as zhop. Just wanted to give everyone another option

Re: Mattercontrol

I recently got a i3 MK3 and am wondering if anyone has used MatterControl with the MK3. I have a Lulzbot Mini and MatterControl has been my go to slicer and print software. The feature set is great, it is easy to use, very customizable, and stable.

RE: Mattercontrol

I've tinkered with several:

  • Slic3r (original)
  • PrusaSlicer
  • Cura
  • Simplify 3D
  • KISSlicer
  • MatterControl
  • ideaMaker

Cura & PS are clearly the big dogs for free solutions. S3D has their following. I think ideaMaker is the most under-appreciated of the bunch and they're doing some interesting development on it. MatterControl didn't impress me much, but I didn't spend a lot of time on it. KISSlicer impressed me but drove me nuts, so I gave up on it. It's great to be at a time when there are at least 3 free products under heavy development.

Is there any particular feature you need that MatterControl provides, or is it just what you're used to?
