Z frame floating
Hello,
I would like to confirm whether z frame should be floating and not touching the ground when the printer (MK1) is fully assembled.
Correct me if I am wrong, but all the vibrations and weight (including the filament roll) of the z frame is being held by only two points where x carriage is attached to the frame, if that is the case.

Yes, this is how it looks after assembly. Factory built printers are assembled same way.
BTW: Your linear bearing looks very rusty 😯 .

I bought the printer last year. Wonder why it becomes that rusty. Probably due to high humidity in where I live
