Z axis alignment won't happen
During XYZ calibration, in the moment when Z axis should be aligned, movement upward stops after 4-5cm. This leads to incorrect calibration and failure during next step.
What could be the cause?

Dezo, can you rotate the threaded rods by hand and move the gantry up past this point? Or does it abruptly stop on the way up?
I can't think of anything else aside from the vertical rods being skewed so much, it binds when being raised.
