Would you do it again? (Buy a Prusa)
I don't have a Prusa, but I'm considering it. If you had it to do all over again, would you still buy the Prusa product? I want a good, solid machine and I don't mind paying more for a better machine. What is the best route to go? Get the Prusa i3 here? Thank you for all responses.
Re: Would you do it again? (Buy a Prusa)
Absolutely; without a second thought. I own 2 Original I3's. One is on order to be upgraded to the MK2. The other at work (medical laboratory) busy printing for the lab. I know several friends that have bought much cheaper knock-off Prusa's and they have nothing but issues - from cheap hot ends shutting down mid print; flimsy frame; no support, etc.
Buy one. Recommend the kit as you will learn very quickly.

Yes. If you are able to build a mechanical and electronic kit, go for it. Wonderful 3D printer. My MK1 gives me wonderful prints, the new MK2 will be even better.

Re: Would you do it again? (Buy a Prusa)
I bought mine 3 month ago and would definitely buy it again without any hesitation.
I would like to point that 3D printing is not exactly as Plug & Play as a standard printer, there are lots of thing to understand to be able to fully take advantage of it. Whatever printer you choose, you may have issues during printing/slicing/ that need some understanding to adjust what is needed in these specific situation. The forum here is a good place to discuss about it. I would recommend to Buy the printer as a kit, it's for me the best way to understand how it work.
I would also go for the mk2, most of the annoying issues (bed calibration, bed sticking) are fixed with the last design.
PS: I just had a friend visiting me this week-end and of course we played with he printer and discussed about 3D printing. His order for a mk2 must be done right now ^^
I'm like Jon Snow, I know nothing.
Re: Would you do it again? (Buy a Prusa)
I would absolutely buy again, (which i have done already, and will do again!)
I own 3 Prusa Original Printers, And i just brought the new mk2 for my 4th (along with 3 upgrade kits for the others)
Re: Would you do it again? (Buy a Prusa)
I would also purchase another one. Since getting mine in December it has been going just about around the clock.
Especially with the new version that's out. Its a no brainer. A lot to learn with 3d printing and getting a kit and building one will give you a good understanding of what's involved with the mechanics of one.
Plus the support is top notch.
Re: Would you do it again? (Buy a Prusa)
I would buy from Prusa again in a heartbeat! I hope to have saved enough for the MK2 upgrade soon! 😀
They are well made, great support, upgradable, and open to suggestions!
Re: Would you do it again? (Buy a Prusa)
Absolutely! Even ordered the upgrade.
I have used my Prusa to print the parts for the Delta machine I built and also the 12"x12"x16" machine I am currently building.
