Uneven sides of printed part
Hello everyone,
I received my Kit a few weeks ago and had no problems neither with buidling it, nor printing the presliced/my own models.
But when I printed this dice, (with 0.15 mm layer height) which edges are 25 mm long
I noticed this odd ringing at the sidewalls of my print and its rough look.
My Printer experience is limited to a Ultimaker 2 wich I use at work so I know 3D printing is better than this, and I am pretty confident a right set up Prusa can do better, too.
I am aware I have to tweak some things to get the most of my printer.
But which changes will make this "problem" better?

We need a whole lot more information to help you.
First. If you print files that came pre-sliced from PRUSA (on the SD card) does this happen? Or only on ones your slice?
Second. What slicer are you using. What settings?
This looks to me like either overextrusion or a slicer settings issue. Either way, please explain more.

I am sorry for the lack of information.
Since I only printed Adalinda and the Prusa logo, I didnt have much knowledge how my printer prints presliced straight walls and thought it would be a general issue for my printer at walls.
To confirm my thoughts I just printed the whistle from the SD card which came out perfectly (the contrast made by the way the light falls on the whistle make it appear much worse than it actually is).
So I guess you are right and this is a slicer issue?!
I use the Slic3r Prusa Edition with no changes so far besides a customised start gcode to keep the P.I.N.D.A. cool.
As I mentioned the dice was printed at 0.15 mm layer height.
I don't know if this is unneccessary information: but the dice is hollow. I designed it to have 2 mm thick walls and no infill at all.

So, you used "Original Prusa i3 MK2 with ZHop", "0.15 OPTIMAL", and "Prusa PLA 1.75mm" setting on the Slic3r?
What where those default temperatures?

For the printer it only says "Original Prusa i3 MK2" but Lift Z is enabled.
The first layer was printed with 215°C and the rest with 210°C. The bed was at 55°C.

Yes, I did.
It extruded 97 mm instead of 100 mm. So no reason for overextrusion on this side (corrected the e steps anyway).
I also did the PID tuning and know have very stable temperatures.
You actually really convinced me that this is a slicing issue. But I can't think of any particular reason.
Maybe it's the model after all?
I will try to print a calibration cube with plain, straight walls and inform you about the results as soon as I am with my printer again.

Well, I guess it's really the model's fault.
The calibration cube came out perfectly and was printed with the same settings as the dice.
I cant think of any reason which explains this difference in quality, but maybe you can?
I attached a cross-section of the dice in Fusion 360 to show you how the model looks like inside.

I would design it "solid" rather than walled, and then use a low fill factor (10%) of infill. I think that will solve your problem.

So possibly any movement of the walls during the print will cause this slightly missalignment?
The depicted model is actually not the whole story, I tried to print a moveable weight inside it to be able to manipulate the outcome of the dice, thats why it is walled.
But I guess I have to live with ugly walls on this project.
