Two questions before first print
I am trying to make my first print and there are two things not looking quite right.
The recommended ABS plate heat temperature is 100C degrees. I set the printer to preheat and the best it can get is 95C, very infrequently it jumps up to 96C just to get back to 95C in an instant. The room I try to print has 20-21C.
The other issue is that the LCD display is nice and bright... until I put in an SD card. Then it goes to almost black, very hard to read. When the SD card is removed then it is SD bright again. Hmmm, what can cause this?

Hi
I would check that the connections for the power supply, and the headed bed are nice and tight, using a flat head screw driver. ❓

Hi
Yes, this sounds like a possible connection issue; try swapping the LCD panel cables at both ends.
Are there any drafts around the printer? If so, you may want to consider building a box to protect the printer from drafts.
I have noted that some users insulate the bottom of the heat bed to prevent cooling.
