thermistor displaced
What does thermistor displaced mean ? I have a problem with the temp control. I find no broken wires that are visable to the eye. when I move the print bed close to the led screen everything works.. when it moves about 2 in. or more away the temp reading don't work .the bed heats but is not controlled I don't believe . Do I need a new bed or can I just change the small wires. The machine is only 2 months old and was working great when I started see the bed temp reading working off and on. Now it only works in that 2 in. area .Where its useless. Any help would be appreciated ,

What do you mean when you say the temp reading doesn't work?
If it's giving you a reading between room temp and the target bed temp then I'm pretty sure you're getting that error because the printer is trying to heat the bed and it's not seeing the temp go up as it expects. First thing to check is if your thermistor is still taped in the proper place under the bed (under the shiny gold kapton tape). If it just came loose from the tape and the wires are still attached, you should be fine to just tape it back under the bed (there's a dotted line circle where the glass bead should be).
If it's reading temps that don't make sense (or no reading? I'm not sure what it displays when the thermistor isn't plugged in), check that it's plugged securely into the correct port on the mini-rambo (might as well check all your connections while you've got it open in case something came loose).
If none of that helps, you can contact Prusa through their online chat, you may just have a dud thermistor.

if the thermistor bead is still stuck firmly under the Kapton tape on the bottom of the heatbed, then, if the temperature display is say below 15 degrees C. it is likely that your thin thermistor wires are broken
you could replace these wires, if you have the skills and tools.
otherwise replace the whole thermistor assembly, the heat bed it's self should be Ok...
