temperature calibration

Hi,

I'm pretty new into 3D printing, so I have alot of questions. 😀

I upgraded my MK2S to FW 3.0.11.
I performed the "temp calibration".
Also "temp cal" is switched "on".

What I don't understand is, why is the temperature of the extruder so fluctuating while printing? Shouldn't this be pretty stable?
I tested this on a few different temperatures.

i.e. you set the extruder to 210, it runs away from 207 to 213.

How to fix this please?
Any help is welcome.

💡 you are turning at the wrong wheel

the temp. calibration is ment to "measure" the influence of temperature to the sensitivity of the inductive bed sensor (p.i.n.d.a. probe). in my point of view this is somehow "beta" and doesn't really makes sense, unless you could reliable "measure" the temperature of the probe...

what you are looking for is the so called PID calibration for the hotend. but the routine implemented inside the firmware does this only "quick'n dirty". it's much more reliable to do a PID calibration (with at least eight heat-up cycles) through pronterface (or any other terminal), as described inside this thread.
even so that the thread relates about the firmware release 3.0.10, all the statements and recommendations made are still valid.

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...

A bit late from my side, sorry about that, I was forgotten the topic here 😳

Problem solved after trying the solution of Jeff.
Thanks!
